HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION!!!!!!! We are young, first time homeowners. I do understand that. I also understand that many may think we are *** because of this. But we understand how a business is supposed to treat a customer, someone who is BUYING a home. We have had to literally fight tooth and nail this entire process to get anyone to communicate anything to us. "No call is a good thing." What??? After finally closing (and plus side, we love our home!), all we wanted was our $500 check back that we were promised. Sandy is NOT someone you want to work with. She will be super sweet and "oh yeah everyone borrows my trailer to move! You guys can borrow it!!!", but when it comes time to needing it she promises again and doesnt deliver. So we didn't get a uhaul because she promised this, and ended up screwed move in day. Also, when concern arose a week later about our missing 500 dollars, she proceeds to yell at my husband, and has the gaul to call me a liar stating her assistant was by the house everyday twice a day to give me the check??? I'M A HOUSE WIFE!!!! I'M HOME ALL DAY!!!!! All that it required was a simple phone call to let us know that they had it and were trying to get ahold of us. However that is called communication, which accent has no understanding of. Terrible customer service and I felt completely in the way and annoyed with the entire last part of this process that was supposed to be so special. Also, thanks for making me drive ALL THE WAY to the west side just to pick up my garage door openers..... unless you want to feel very unimportant i wouldnt go through accent with your home buying needs. Ps. Erica from the main office was super awesome! Just dont use the mesquite hills location.

Selling home w/ out notifications
I signed a contract w/ Sandy Luthi from Accent Homes on December 17, 2012. My house was going to start getting built on Jan the 8th. On Jan the 22nd I go by the lot to see how far they're coming along and to my surprise it's not. I text her to see what's going on and she tells me that my house was too big for my lot. So she tells me that they are going to re-design it. About 7 days later I call her again to find out what's going on. She explains that she's just leaving the office and they were unable to do anything. So I responded "what's next"? She offers me another home and I was excited about it. All I wanted was an upgrade of granite for all my troubles. She said she would try hard to get it. Well 12 days later I'm still waiting for a response. So again I call her and asked her what's going on and she states " we have to submit a contract". I was upset, because no one called me to come in and sign anything. So while I'm waiting for the contract I send her other model homes that maybe she can show me and she agrees too. 2 days later I received a contract and notice that my upgrade was not in the contract. When I asked her about it she said "no sorry I can't do it for you". Well by now after all this waiting around and me having to call her I felt that was the least she could do. So I asked her for her bosses information so I can talk to him. She blows me off for 3 days then she texts me and informs me that's she's already talked to her boss. So they are sorry, but they can't do anything for me and to go by and get my hernest money. She doesn't bother to help me out w/ another home or anything. And to make things worse the house sold w/ out letting me know. Now I know why she was in a hurry to have me pickup my money. The only reason I had not signed the contract was because I was waiting for a response from the company. For 2 days they avoided my calls and never got back w/ me. She has no ethics and she's not a professional!

My husband and I worked with Sandy. She worked hard to clear up our credit issues which allowed us to finally own a home.
Being in the military, we had been "professional renters" prior to meeting Sandy. She was awesome and helped us realize a dream that we thought was impossible!

This is the type of unacceptable behavior and non professionalism delivered by Winton Flair Homes/Accent Homes. After an awful experience, we lost out on thousands of dollars we paid to upgrade several items.
They refused to repair substandard building and will not return our money. This company has failed to produce the product they advertise and does not care about their customers.
I am very disappointed there are companies such as these conducting business and stealing hard working peoples' money. I have no doubt that SuperHomeowner1 is probably the company's employees attempting to improve their review.
